Chapter 6

     In this chapter, I learned that Elizabeth has started to like Mr. Wickham. She is waiting to dance with him but he is going to London. And then Mr. Collins invited her to dance at a ball party, which she must have accepted, although she didn’t want to dance with him. Mr. Collins is shallow; I think he likes Miss Elizabeth. At the ball, Miss Elizabeth met Mr. Darcy, he held her hands, which made her feel astonished, and me too. I think Mr. Darcy started to like Miss Elizabeth. And then ladies in Bingley’s family looked down on Miss Eliza about Mr. Wickham. I don’t understand why they do that. I think at that time Eliza felt angry, certainly, but she could not do anything. After the ball party ends, Mrs. Bennet is very happy about Jane and Eliza; she thinks Jane will get married to Mr. Bingley and Eliza will get married to Mr. Collins soon. After I read this chapter's end, I felt pity for Elizabeth; she is a daughter who received the least love from her mother and cannot choose the way she wants to. Miss Elizabeth is a pity woman. I hope that in the future she will be a woman who can choose the way she wants and has freedom.

Pride and Prejudice Chapter 22      Mr. Bennet comes back home, and the family worries about Lydia's bad choices. People in town start saying bad things about Wickham, and Mrs. Philips visits to share unpleasant stories. The family is anxious for news, and a letter from Mr. Collins makes them more upset. Mr. Bennet tells his daughters to be careful around soldiers, says they can't go to parties or wander outside without a good reason, and comforts Kitty by promising to take her to the theater in ten years if she behaves.

Pride and Prejudice Chapter 17     The Bennet family in Meryton is upset about a regiment's departure. Lydia gets an invitation to go to Brighton becauseHer mother saw an opportunity for her to find a husband, causing excitement and jealousy among her sisters. Elizabeth worries about Lydia's behavior and advises her father against it, but he disagrees. There are hints of tension in Elizabeth's interactions with Wickham. The passage ends with Lydia leaving for Meryton, and Kitty is the only one who cries which implies that she is particularly attached to her sister or feels more deeply affected by her leaving.

Pride and Prejudice Chapter 28     In the end,  The Bennet family celebrates their daughters' marriages. Mr. Bennet misses Elizabeth and visits often. Mr. Bingley and Jane move closer. Kitty improves. Lydia and Wickham remain the same. Miss Bingley is upset about Darcy's marriage but acts politely. Georgiana and Elizabeth become close. Lady Catherine is angry about Darcy's marriage. Reconciliation happens after Elizabeth convinces Darcy. The Gardiners maintain a close relationship with Darcy and Elizabeth, appreciating their role in bringing them together.
